Connected by the lOVE of the Holy Spirit
When the apostle Paul spoke about the powerful new church in Colosse, he didn’t write about their knowledge and wisdom; he didn’t brag about their orderly worship or their doctrinal purity; and he didn’t focus on their holiness or obedience to God’s commands. Instead, he commended this group of Christ-followers for their faith and love and hope. But he doesn’t really give them the credit for any of it. Instead, he thanks God. He gives glory to the Father for their “love in the Spirit.”
Please read Colossians 1:3-8 this week. Then join us at 10:15 this Sunday morning July 5 as we explore the way God’s Holy Spirit connects us to one another through our shared faith, hope, and love.
