Being Changed in Community

There have been plenty of studies conducted over the years that prove the importance of strong relationships. You’ll be in much better health, you’ll live longer and happier, if you have good close friends. Even if you have poor health habits, they seem to be negated by tight friendships. According to these studies, it is healthier to eat donuts with your friends than to eat broccoli by yourself!

When we’re baptized into Christ, he places us immediately into a community of faith. We live together, worship together, serve together, respond faithfully to God together, and we’re shaped by God together into the image of his Son.

Please read 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 and Romans 12:3-5 this week. Then join us at 10:15 this Sunday morning January 11 as we explore together the ways God changes us in Christian community.
