Being Changed with Christian Practices

We began 2026 with a series reviewing our church vision: “Being Changed by God to Love Like Jesus.” Each week, we have highlighted one of our Formation Zones. These zones are essential to our vision because they are places where we are transformed by God.

This week, we are highlighting Christian Practices. Christian Practices are the daily spiritual disciplines we engage in—both individually and as a congregation—as God forms us into the image of Christ.

At first, this can sound like a daunting challenge. “Daily disciplines” aren’t usually one of our favorite phrases; they can feel burdensome. But this Sunday, we want to share not a message of burden, but a message of hope.

Christian Practices are not about us doing things to get closer to God. They are a loving invitation—ways God connects us to our one true source of life, Jesus Christ. We are transformed in love by Jesus.
